Hi Guys,

After asking a bunch of questions on here and on the www.ih8mud.com board about what turbo to install on my cruiser, I decided to go with something that wasn't suggested - instead I went with what a turbo shop owner recommended. This guy has been working with turbo's all his life and is quite knowledgeable. He suggested the GT32 as he thought the GT28 was too small and didn't really seem to be the most efficient match.

The the turbo is a GT 32 with Precision Turbo hot and cold sections - not the standard GT32 you see on Garrets site. Apparently the precision turbo configuration is a new turbo setup on developed in the last few months.

Anyway, the turbo is installed and works very well, the cruiser is a new truck to drive with the turbo in it - pulls hard and goes fast.\

Here is a link to the thread I made on the ih8mud.com board if anyone is interested.

I had done a pre turbo install dyno, I will bring it to get dyno'd on monday, then I will install the intercooler and dyno it again to see what I get squeeze out of it.

Some said the GT32 would not be an efficient urbo and that I would have to rev high to get boost, but I can get boost very easily at 16-1700 and it keeps pulling up over 3000 rpm with no problems.

After confusing the hell out of me for weeks, the pics showed it's not a garrett GT32, it's a precision built T3 based turbo.

The garrett GT32's are huge (too huge), but Ishobies results with this T3 hybrid speak for themselves.
