Just wondering what engine revs your fourby does at 100 k's.
Triton non-turbo manualon standard 16 tyres =2600rpm
Volvo auto= 1350rpm
HJ47 on standard tyres = 2850rpm

Why do you want to know? What's it relevant to?
FYI - currently, my 660cc sierra runs Trail tough 6.4:1 transfer gears and 34" swampers, worn for about 33"actual height - runs 3360@100 in 5th, but if laden is more likely to be in 4th @ 4280.
Once I have the Q78's on it and the 5.12 diffs, it'll be spining 3947 @ 100 in 5th - much happier.
My Diesel G wagen spun 3750 with 31's on it at 100 and 3150 with 36's.

Are these EFI engines?
If so it'll depend on the map on the CPU as it depends on what map you use as to what the rpm will be.
an example
a bad map might be 3000rpm for 100klm chew up heaps of fuel.
A good map might be 1500rpm for 100klm and use very little fuel.
Gearing won't mean much if the engine has EFI.

EFI isn't quite that magical. It can't completely change an engines character.

Your kidding right
Maybe it'll change a few hundred RPM's on an auto without lock up convertor, but it wont change fark all else

Thats the best outers post ever.
Please, explain how, with a manual gearbox, in gear, driving down the road, how EFI can mysteriously change the relationship between the speed the crank is turning and the speed the input shaft of the gearbox is turning. Does a poor efi map slip the clutch?
Steve.
