As in you want to put on a second fuel pump to feed the injector pump so it doesn't have to work as hard?
I have a 97 HDJ80 and run a Walbro 6065. Have it down the back on the drivers side. Fuel feed line coming from both tank goes in, then comes out into the existing line. So both tanks work as they do normally and you don't have to change anything.
Have it wired up so when you turn the car to 'on' it starts ticking over and starts feeding fuel. Think it is about 10psi from memory. Will pump until the pressure is built up in the lines and then just slow down, so it doesn't work that hard when on idle. You can hear it 'ticking' away and to some people that might be annoying, but you only hear it when actually outside of the car.
Got a mate who runs close to 300hp in his turbo desiel cruiser, he is also a desiel mechanic and swears by it.
I fitted it on his recommendation and it is good if you plan to up the boost or anything as it will help feed the fuel. Meant to get a bit better economy and the car seems to run a little smoother, but it is hard to say. Personally I think the car does run smoother, but is hard to explain, but I also can't really remember how it ran before the pump.
Pump is around $217, I got mine for a fair bit less. I can put you onto the place I got mine from if you wish.
Very easy to set up, but won't go into the details right now.
Cheers

With the walbro pump does it matter if there is always 10 psi at the injector pump? Or does the walbro change to suit requirements?
