is there a lighter toyota gearbox available with a PTO output?
ive been looking at a few of the winch rigs around and have seen they are quite effective. not looking at a spirit winch just a hydraulic driven winch much like tigger is running. it will be mid mounted as would an ellectric.
which ever way i go itll cost me thousands, i dont really care, i want to do it right.
is there a PTO toyota box that is light enough and fast enough?
does it still provide drive to the wheels aswell?
anyone have any experience with them?

Parts are no longer available for them. And there was never an aftermarket kit built for them. They were originally designed to be used in mining applications but i have never heard of or seen a complete kit.

Actually thinking more about it there are PTO Drives available but the drive gear inside the transfer is not fitted to the hilux transfer. and im pretty sure it was a Toyota only part and Discontinued.
Just looked at that link. It only says its a toyota PTO it doesnt say what it suits. There are lots of other boxes in the toyota range that are suitable to run a PTO. Not just 4wds.
