Hi just install a SD33 turbo in my MQ
Just wonder where to install the boost gauge line
most people say close to the intake after the turbo to get a true boost reading.
If correct do i have to tap a threaded bard piece in the intake to install the boost gauge hose.
Can not see any vacuum line near the intake

shouldnt make any real difference
on an mq i doubt there would be any vacume lines you can use as they dont have aneroids

what size is the boost guage line? is it small or is it like the VDO guages and you can use 5mm air locker hose?
doesn't really matter where you put it....

i think there is a nut/threaded plug on the intake somewhere.
Cant be assed walking outside to confirem or deny.
could remove the over boost thingo and fit a tee there as well
Cheers

On mine i took off the pressure relief valve on the side of the intake and replaced it with a brass fitting.
Then tapped into that another fitting and the boost line onto that....hope it makes sense here is a pic

Thanks mate. Boost atm I’m only running factory (5psi) as I recently put new head gasket and a few other bits in so need to retighten before it goes up.
I have run 8psi previously without any problems above that you will need to start playing with the fuel...the extra boost didn't cause the problem with the head, previous own not using coolant for many years caused some surface imperfections on the block.
