it has came to my attention that jeep are selling replacement parts at top dollar which is quite frankly a joke

if any of yous have noticed this too an feel that it isn't right i recommend sending a email an telling em what you think

this isn't any differant from nissan/toyota selling expensive replacement parts, i suggest buy aftermarket and organise them yourself wether you fit them or get a mech to fit there is some good after market suppliers in aus and you can import pretty cheaply too

jimmy does that xj have an ax 15 gear box by any chance?

i dont know much about xj's so might as well ask?

I beleive its a AW4 which is a Auto. The AX15 is a manual box mate.

jimmy could the aw4 bolt to a 360 and a 300 transfer case in a cj7 :?: needing a new auto soon i think

yes but you will need a spacer between the aw4 and d300 as the output shaft is too long novaks adapters sell one that is what I used to put the aw4 in my cj7 plus you can then clock up the transfer case for a nice flat skid

just beware the aw4 is a long box and you will have short drive shaft in the rear but it can be done

Whilst the AW4 is a good tranny I'm not really sure it's V8 material......
