if the seal keeps going, the crank must be worn. sleve it or new crank...

First, how many seals??

from memory the seal sits in a block that is then bolted to the engine block and sump.

My crank had a groove cut into it. And i found out the hard way that they dont make a speedy sleeve for it.

I took the block off and cleaned it properly then mounted the seal so that it was moved rearwards 2mm using bluemax and let it go off.

When you remount the the dust plate with the four little screws make sure you stick flat washers between the plate and the block to act as spacers so you dont push the seal back in when you tighten them up. and put a beed of blue max around the seal mounting block to seal the plate.

cheers smitty :D

by rearwards i mean protruding..

when i was looking for a speedi sleeve there was one that was close, about .3mm too small. i asked BSC ,skefco and some one else all to no avail.
