Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey guys, got a 98 3l diesel hilux... when the fuel gauge gets down on empty the car is a pig to start, has to crank for a while and splutters when it does kick. fill her up with fuel and its perfect again till it hits the empty mark....
is this normal with the hilux's or does anyone know what this symptom indicates.

It would be a good idea to try and keep at a min your tank 1/4 full.

But it sounds like when your on Empty you are nearly EMPTY

mine does the same. 98 3.0d. put fuel in it.
