the only major difference is the 24v electrical system, apart from that there are no major differences to aus spec vehicles, and all parts are interchangeable.

a mate bought a N/A 4.2 diesel a few years ago, all the same as my aussie one just the 24v, crappy brown interior, and in the shorty the rear seat is only 2 person not 3 and it has little pocket spaces and the seat is mounted further towards the front seats giving more room in the boot area. his car really hard as well not sure if it was cuase it was jap one or if it was just a freak of a motor.

Almost all GQ's in NZ are Jap import Safari's. In general they have a higher spec than Aus or NZ spec models. Otherwise exactly the same. They could in 12v and 24v but most wil be 24V.
