INFO ON NISSAN SAFARI
INFO ON NISSAN SAFARI
anyone’s thoughts on the imported Nissan safari as I’m looking to by a diesel swb gq patrol in the near future and find they are a lot cheaper jst doing my research at this stage. Any info on problems or finding parts or should I just stay away from the safari all together
a mate bought a N/A 4.2 diesel a few years ago, all the same as my aussie one just the 24v, crappy brown interior, and in the shorty the rear seat is only 2 person not 3 and it has little pocket spaces and the seat is mounted further towards the front seats giving more room in the boot area. his car really hard as well not sure if it was cuase it was jap one or if it was just a freak of a motor.

Almost all GQ's in NZ are Jap import Safari's. In general they have a higher spec than Aus or NZ spec models. Otherwise exactly the same. They could in 12v and 24v but most wil be 24V.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)
