Need help with compression test results

The 1984 2F in my FJ40 is starting feeling a bit tired and gutless. Anyhow I got myself one of those compression test guages and did a test. I've done some searching but I'm having trouble figuring out what the results mean and what I should do next. Compared to other peoples results they seem a bit all over the place. Obviously this isn't good but what should I do next?

Dry/Wet
1) 120/172
2) 113/161
3) 100/118
4) 110/150
5) 120/160
6) 128/178

I run it on LPG 80% of the time. I don't know how many miles the engine has done, it was converted to LPG in 2003 and was reconditioned to some degree 80,000ks ago (all by previous owner.) Any advice will be greatfully received.

Thanks,

Phil

before doing the compression test i recomend doing a valve adjustment first otherwise u can get od readings

u need to get the specs wich u would find in a gregorys book or workshop manual
then compare your results to the manual specs

Wet test will show up worn rings as it helps seal. Do tappet adjustment and drive it till it die's

Good advice me thinks. I'm sure the motor will soldier on until I can find a replacement that's a bit more perky. Maybe it's time for a chev :)

Did the valve clearances this avo as suggested (thanks for the tip). I'll retest it next weekend and see if the results change.

Thanks,

Phil
