Can anyone recommend a good place in Newcastle to go and get some customized roof racks (on top of rear canopy) and a tow bar made up?
It doesn't have to be heavy duty as is they are only for carrying surfboards and bike rack on my new Mighty Boy, (not enough space in the tray for anything larger than a slab of beer).

Possibly Loadrail in Church St, Wickham.

Loadrail will do all your custom work.
You could even try Altapac, they might be able to knock something up for you. They were very helpful with my roofracks. They can just use mounting feet to suit and cut the top bar to length, quite easy really. They also do towbars, or you could also try ISP for one. Should be an off the shelf item.

How legal are you talking?
There would be a few blokes on this fourm that could make up a tow bar for you.
You relise that its not 100% legal though dont you ?

Thanks guys. I'll go to loadrail and see what they can do me for.
As for the legality of a towbar on a mighty boy... It's not able to carry its own weight, let alone tow something. I only need it to take my mountain bike to Glenrock and Killy.
If the guy doing a rego check asks, "it was there when i bought it, and haven't/don't intend on using it."
