dependng what tools you have, if any thing is seized ad rusted solid, but an afternoon isnt out of question for the lot.

x2 may pay to crack all the bolts in questions first and retighten them a day or so before hand so your arent left without a car to drive on monday

Ok well the spring lift can be done in a day, less if you have a set of coil spring compressors and a hi lift jack, easy to do.

Body lift took me a full day with hi lift jack. but yes if you get 2 mates to help, you can do it all in 2 days

you must work slow, took me about 4 hours to do a body lift and that included modding the transfer stick. suspension lift should only take 2-3 hours. dont need spring compressors either, just disconnect the shocks and swaybars

thats how i did mine, and with the body lift make sure you have an oxy or a blowtorch for the rear 2 mounts under cargo area, otherwise you may snap the welds on the captive nuts.

all can be done in a day if you know how to do it. its all very straight forward, body lift took me about 2 hrs and susp about 3. so get up at 8, and test at 2 :P (need lunch in between ;))

thanks guys. i've already cracked all nuts except rear 2, will need heat gun for those. done all the annoying things already like transfer boot, setbelt mounts, bullbar etc. hopefully all will go well, cheers.

What? Is this meant to be seatbelt mounts? If so why do you have to do anything to them?

For a 2" bodylift loosen your fuel filler hose and your steering shaft, and address the transfer shifter hitting the floor and the engine fan hitting the bottom of the shroud. That's it.

also check your clutch line when you lift it. two screw jack's from a carolla or some ricer will be handy too, but done put them on stands like in the pick  thats why i had the rhs between the body and frame just in case.

Shouldn't have to on a GQ

Not sure on a GQ, but on a MQ it's heaps easier to get to 2 body bolts if the front seatbelt mounts are temporarily removed

From his sig I assumed it was a GQ, so no need to touch seat belt mounts.

EDIT: forgot about removing trim to get the carpet up. You can still do it without taking the seatbelt bolt out but it is easier if you do.

ya not kidding.. me and Damige on here replaced body mount rubbers all round on the LWB GQ in under 2 hours but at it all setup ready to go without stuffin round, ans also the right tools - 2 trolley jacks and large wood blocks, rattle gun etc... Had WD40 the bolts 2 times in recent days before doing it.

also havent bothered wth spring compressors in the past, although would have been handy a few times...

you need to take the front seatbelt mounts off to get to the mid body mounts as they are directly underneath the seatbelt retractor.

Is this a LWB or SWB? I've been referring to a SWB when I think others might be talking about LWBs.

take the bolt out of the clutch line block where the rubber line goes on just in case.

also, flip your fan shroud up side down and redrill holes accordingly( mine was a 3'' so just check first)

cheers smitty

the answer is: one day! saturday arvo (3 hrs) for the body lift and sunday morning for the springs. the body lift was far easier than i thought, the two back bolts were a breeze to get out, only needed an old hair dryer to heat 'em up. now for the guard chop to fit my 36"s and snorkel, bar and winch and i'm set!
