Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i bought a second hand turbo pretty cheap and theres a bit of play in the shaft only a little bit though but the fan hits the side

anyone know if its completely stuffed or can itr be fixed and alos how much dollars i am up for too thanks

Mate that is alot of play in a turbo, from memory factory tollerance is only measured in 1000'ths of an inch (ie the shaft play should be almost imperciptable without a dial gauge)

I would say you are up for a few $$ in a rebuild. I recently put all new bearings and seals in a Ct20 an it was not hard .. just a bit fiddly really. I was\am Ok with wearing the risk that reassembly was not absloutely 100% perfect as I am planing on installing a 3RZ in a few months once I have made the wife happy by doing some work about the house.

I got the bearings from Ebay from a vendor named Anythingturbo (US based) price killed anything I could find in aus by $100's, even the postage costs were cheaper

What are you planning on installing it on ?
