I removed the detent ball when I fitted my 6.5:1 gearset. I made a twin stick setup but didn't like it so I learn't how to select 2lo with only the one stick. It is good for when I don't want anyone else moving MY car. There are 4 secret neutral positions in the transfer pattern. :D

rock4x4.com have the shifter boot to suit also. did sean mention how much they were going to be? would be good for everyone with locked front.

2wd low  You have to remove the detent ball, and modify the shift rails to achive this. Search.

why would u need 2wd low? cant u just unlock the front hubs?

makes i easier for people with locked/welded front diffs when 4wding as its hard to turn these vehicles when hubs are locked

I did this nearly 10yrs ago. It didnt help much with a welded front and not sure if it was causing it but it would get massive wind up put the ball back in prob solved?? Just my experience but would be helpful for people with lockrights.

Well lets get some interest here. Post up if you are genuinely interested in purchasing one of these twin stick setups so I can get numbers. Then I can use this to see what deal we might be able to get.
Bear in mind this will take some time so it will give you a while to save your pennies :)

Bare in mind twin sticks isn't just pulling the old out and new in, the case needs to be pulled apart to get the Detent ball in......? If this hasn't all ready been done.

I installed them in my g/f's Sierra last week :)
Very nice fit and finish and straight instruction. I like them that much that I took over the distribution for them in Europe. Vince is a great guy to deal with, though.
