with a 3" lift in the GU you should be right fitting 33s.

Hope it goes well

edit... I thought 3 inch was suspension lift...

I have a GU ute with coils all round 3 inch lift and run 285/75 no problems. YOu shouldn't need any body lift.

i ran 33's on my wagon for about 6 months that had shagged as suspension. on a ute it should be fine.
