Just wondering how you would get more power out of the above motor.
Mine does not blow smoke when i drive it , only on start up. I was thinking of screwing the injector pump up a little till so i get a little black smoke on acceceration..
Was also thinking of putting 3 inch from muffler back, i want to put a turbo on eventionaly but i don't want to put it all the way through untill then. Do you think that 3' from muffler back would do any thing Power wise I don't expect it but would be good if it did
Do you think it would sound ok ?
Sorry for the blab just interested in comments.

3 inch will be too big mate would go 2.5 inch with straight through muffler and 3inch if you did a turbo, i am doing my turbo at the moment, just do snorkle and zorst if its n/a to get some more power and if you really wanted to get your injectors done

Much to everyones supprise diesel engines like the exact same mods a petrol engine likes.........
Extractors, 2.5inch zorst system from end to end, & an 'open' muffler ( Walker Turbo for example) will open up the restriction its probably suffering.
Head work such as flowing and matching inlet zorst manifold will also help
the list is pretty much the same as what mods youd pull on a petrol engine....... the real question however is ......
how fast YOU can afford

Yeah i am a wear that it would be better to put 2 1/2" Front to back but I am planing to put a turbo on, and want 3" with that . So i thought it would not be a waste if it was from muffler back (leaving the original muffler)
So, muffler back. Would that still be ok back pressure wise untill the turbo comes, would this help with a bit (even a tiny little bit) of power.
The back part of the zorst has a few holes in it so it replacement and to make some more noise i'm not a ricer i don't want a ethnic person dog on the back just a bit of a note

You wont get any noticable HP improvement in doing half the system....
Sure you'll have a bit of a note and it may sound like its tougher, but the power increase will be minimal.
You may be better off starting off with the turbo and going from there.

You can get a whole turbo set-up (2nd hand) for less then $500
manifolds, pipe's, turbo, oil lines and if you lucky a zorst.

I got a mate sourceing a turbo for me Just need to make or buy manifold just find it hard to find one for the right price
Last turbo set up a saw went on e bay bare motor, injection pump all manifolds and turbo went for $1500 what a joke, so me thinks thats just to dear especially when a complete mk turbo went for $1400 looked to be in great nick to
want to do injectors, The closest guys that does the injectors round my way told me about $80-$90 an injector and thats me pulling them out which i don't have a problem with but i was told that was pretty dear $480 to do them What you guys think of that

A mate asked me If I wanted a patrol the other day, thought it was a Y60 but turned out to be an old dunger like yours
Nonetheless it was a factory turbo SD33, I never looked at it, my mate did, but can get contact numbers if you wish, it was $1700, if its still there
Don't ask me for a number if your retarded and want to root around

How much you wann apay for a turbo setup minus an injector pump

Its possible to use a n/a pump.

$480 is reasonable for all 6 injectors to be rebuilt, and 1400-$1500 is alright for a turbo and pump set-up, You don't need the pump but it would save some hassels.
