on my old falcon ute I set up driving lights on the roll bar.
Ran all the wiring inside the hoop of the main bar.
Brought the wires out thru the bottom of the top hoop - angled to the front - so they were hidden from view and couldnt be knocked by loads or branches.
Use rubber gromments everywhere !!! - they will save a LOT of trouble later on. Buy them before you start - so you can drill the right sized holes everywhere - and have all the wires threaded thru them to start with.
Use heavy wiring - as it will be a long way from the battery to the lights.
Im not sure on the hiluxes - but I ran my wiring under the whole cab - from a relay next to the battery.
Relay switching power wire came off the high beam light. Relay switching earth wire ran to a grounded switch in the cab.
Lights on the bar like that may look a big weird - but throw excellent light due to their height.
Watch out for light bouncing off the bonnet - or thru the rear window of the cab.
best of luck
