Feroza for sale in Adelaide soon...

Due to an expanding family my Feroza will more than likely be put up for sale in the next four or so months. Or, if anyone is interested I might consider selling sooner.
1992 F300 Feroza ELIII
197000kms
- paint in very good condition, as is the interior, only a couple of very small dents in the body (from other car doors
) The interior is also in very good condition with only a small amount of wear on the carpets, the seats are all in excellent condition for their age as is the interior trim.
-aircon (converted to R134A, full system overhaul with new TX valve), power steering, electric windows, velour trim etc.
-rebuilt gearbox around 4000km ago (new bearings and synchros) ($1300)
-new heavy duty clutch fitted when gearbox rebuilt
-new genuine radiator ($400)
-Bilstein shock absorbers front and rear ($800)
-Dual battery system ($300)
-Hurricane extractors and full 2" stainless exhaust system ($1000)
-Eclipse CD MP3 player with remote ($450)
-CSA Scorpion 15x7 alloys and Cooper AT 235/70R15 tyres with a decent amount of tread left ($1300)
- heavy duty Dobinson rear springs ($650) plus have originals
- supplied with rear storage system and standard split fold rear seats
- electric thermo fan fitted to replace viscous unit
- Rola roof racks
- tinted windows (a bit faded / purple tinged)
Ummmm.... there's probably a lot more things that I've forgotten?
The engine is in very good condition and the timing belt was replaced at 160000km along with all the fluids and valve clearances adjusted. The gearbox, transfer case and front diff have all been filled with Redline oils; and the engine has had changes every 7500km with Mobil 1 synthetic oil while I've owned it.
It hasn't had a lot of use off road and is used daily as my work vehicle. I average around 10.5 l/100km in suburban driving.

- drive belts recently replaced
- brake fluid recently changed and system bled (new Metal King front pads fitted at around 162000km)
- tweeters fitted in the front with stock dash speakers, rear speakers are Pioneer coaxials
- full Australian Standards black wired alarm system with dual immobilisation, remote central locking, glass breakage detection, battery backup siren, remote boot unlock and microwave motion detector. The motion detector will also work with the top removed - very handy!
($600)
- Narva 100watt driving lights
(the prices in brackets are what the parts have cost me.... best the wife doesn't find this!)
Price.... I'm still thinking about this, but it will certainly be a bargain (given all the extras and work done) compared to some other Ferozas I've seen advertised elsewhere.

Well if it wasn't for the fact that I'm about to buy my Brother-in-laws 93 SXP I'd be interested.
Sorry not much help there ay.
If it's any consolation I'm sure it will sell quickly with all those mods and new parts.
Good luck.

Cheers. Once I sort out what I want to get to replace it I'll be getting a bit more serious about selling.
Some other things I just remembered:
- 6 litre water tank underneath between chassis rails
- custom made Hayman Reece receiver type tow bar
- near new larger heavy duty calcium battery
- heavy duty alternator (70 Amp) with remote voltage sensing
- new genuine Daihatsu thermostat fitted approx 2 yrs ago

I guess it was going to happen one day. There's still quite a few months left before I "need" to upgrade on space - but given the Feroza is a second car for me it could be parted with any time. It comes in use for so many different things that I'll be looking for something similar eg. the Suzuki XL7 is top of the list (finances allowing
)

Well this is an Aussie based website and we had them for sale for the entire model life (I think?) unlike the USA. Mind you, Daihatsu is sadly no longer here either (thanks to Toyota.....)

I must be going against the grain here then as my wife is about to pop out baby number two anyday now and I'm selling a 4 door car for a Roza
But we still have the VT commodore for a family car.
So

There's no problem fitting a baby into the Feroza- although you'd want a small pram and might have trouble with a baby capsule behind the front seats? I want to fit two dogs in as well, that's the issue.

Yeah our 94 is going too, 3 kids, wife expects to ba able to come with us...

If the family want to come with you - you need to find scarier tracks to drive.
By observation, it doesn't take much to get your car back - permanently.

We use the Disco for touring but I do like taking the roza out for a spin for fun.
Oh well

Some other "new" bits on mine that I've just remembered:
- new genuine distributor cap
- new Magnecore ignition leads

Tried that.... she complained about swalloing bugs... I told her to keep it closed but you know women, always got to try and prove they can navigate...
Of course I saw how low that branch was dear!

I'm officially Feroza-less
, it left for a new home an hour ago.
For anyone who's interested it sold for $5250, I probably could have got more but figured that was a fair price. The new owner is a lady and she was most impressed with it.
For anyone who is wondering I've decided the replacement will be a Suzuki XL-7, I'm looking at one tomorrow that sounds promising. It's big enough to fit the dogs and a baby in without being ridiculously huge.

Guess I will see you over in the Suzuki section. The XL-7 is just a stretched grand vitara, same as mine. There is a few things to look out for when buying but I guess you know them already.
Put in the Old Man Emu full suspension and some decent tyres and you will be happy.

I bought an XL-7 today
- pics to follow as well as some "give away" Feroza parts.
Oh yeah, the XL-7 is an auto
, long story and a change for me -who hates autos.....

Your not going to hate autos when/if you go off road - except when descending hills, you will be using both feet on the brake.
Gears solve this

I picked it up this morning, it's just a little bit more luxurious and quicker than the Feroza. The auto is surprisingly good too.
2004 model Limited (leather interior, electric sunroof), cruise control, 6 disc CD player, power everything, tinted windows, five speed auto, 2.7l V6 engine, under 50000km from new (one previous owner), white metallic paint work and in excellent condition.
And seven seats- so no more "space" issues like in the Feroza. With the rear two seats up luggage space is at a premium, less space than in the back of the Feroza.
It fairly gets moving too, but I'm not loking forward to the fuel bills....

It's already got a few scratches on the plastic bumpers that I'm going to touch up. It will be spending 99% of it's time on road so hopefully it won't get any dents- if it does it will probably be from some d***head opening their car door onto it in a carpark!
