Hi all,

i own a 2001 td5 and a couple of times lately, after i have turned off the car, the intercooler fan(i assume there is one, its not the radiator fan) keeps running. When i put the keys back in and turn the ignition to Stage 2 it stops. Is this normal? i cant imagine it would cause any problems, as long as i make sure i turn it off. If its not that, the noise is definitely coming from the front of the radiator, down low. Any info would be great!

cheers
james

It will be the a/c fan, intercooler doesnt have one. Or you may be hearing the oil filter spinning down ?

Yeah definitely is the a/c fan, happened again and i let it run for a while to see if it turned itself off but after 5 minutes it hadnt. I'm not sure why it does it, as I hadnt even had the a/c on at all. Like I said, its turns off once i turn the ignition over so it doesn't bother me, but I am curious as to why it happens every now and then. Thanks for the reply.
