Flipping diffs and rotating knuckles

Couple of question for y'all,

1, Do WT diffs have a knuckle tube running into the diff housing and if so how far?

2, Do you think there would be enough oil flow if the centers were run upside down?

3, Are the left and right hand side knuckles inter changable? ie. running the left knuckle on the RHS and the right knuckle on the LHS?

4, How tight is the knuckle tube in the housing if there is one?

Cheers Joel

2) For anything other than crawling, no, I don't think so

3) Yes

4) Not very- It's not pressed in.

if thats the case, wouldn't it be easier to cut the hat off & rotate it 180' along with the pumpkin?

The plan is a rear engined fun buggy.

But then the pumpkin would be on the wrong side for the transfercase output shafts.
