More F78 Trivia

In all catalogues and literature, the F78 model Rocky began production in August 1993, and the F75 model stopped being produced.

In work on Monday was an F78, so I was having a bit of a snoop around (you don't see many F78s to have a look at!) and found it was manufactured in June 1993.

It is the exact same model as mine, although made in June (mine's Nov/93)... Just another piece of Daihatsu information that has turned out to be incorrect!

P.S - I was looking mainly at bullbar mounts, as I am fitting a TJM bar to mine from I think a newer model Hilux... we're not sure what it's off! :D

Pics soon!

Sorry, you don't get any points for finding inconsistencies from Daihatsu...

If you really want to rack the points up, start finding things that are logical or didn't come in eleventy different variations depending on the day of the week.

Variations? Yeah, tell me about it :bad-words: I've had my driveshaft dramas, and also had to remove the gearbox/clutch/flywheel again to replace the backing plate. The delta truck backing plate was identical bar the starter motor holes being about 3mm out, only found out when I tried to bolt up the starter :x
Hopefully everything else goes smoothly with reassembly....
