Did i get anyone a lil over exited at reading the title. :finger:
couldn't resist myself.

the motor is actualy a UD (Nisan trucks) rd8?. and has been around as far as i know since the early 80's.

And revs to 2000 rpm

And is too big

And after all that weight and work.... it still only makes 300hp.

And will make masses of noise

Truck engines normally make band conversions into lighter vehicles. Even a 6BTA series cummins (dodge ram) weighs 450kg complete.

i just brought a new nissan ud 2 months ago..the guy said
nissan car does not own nissan ud anymore.i ithink he said volvo owns ud now.so we are never going to see any help from the truck range.

got to say though.tailshaft on the ute looks the same as the one on the truck.

also said they will drop the nissan in the future and just call UD

Is that all? My Isuzu engine weighs most of that. But it makes an excellent conversion. :D

Rumour has it that Bentzook actually was the first in the world to commission the fitting of one of these engines to a GU patrol ute.....
