my GU is currently engineered for 35s but im looking for a new set of tyres for it now..
so the question is, does the 15mm rule or whatever it is apply after it is engineered? can i run 36s without probs or is that only from standard spec?
i would think it is from the standard 31s but just want to confirm..
il prob get it re-engineered if need be and get some 37s under it

Ive done alot of research on this and hassled my engineer a few times but the rule is that 35s is the max no if or buts.......

Unless you swap diffs from a vehicle that is running 35s or bigger from factory ie hummer.

Thats from my research though someone might have found a loop hole elsewhere.

for the record i was looking at 37s but they are $200 more than a 35 and I really dont see that much improvement for what i do.

i found the same too when i was looking at engineering mine...
i was told that up to 35s with 15s and up to 40s with 16s or larger..

if needed i dont mind having to buy a 16" rim as when i get tyres il be getting rims too so i can keep the 35s for another trol im planning on building

If Engineers cert says 35" that is the max. To go bigger needs a diff cert.

J Top if your just after a 36

Some 35" tyres are close to that or bigger and still have 35" stamped
on the side wall `look into that.

Is that classed as a loophole??

not necisarily after a 36"
i was thinking about claws and mtz but i know a claw is a small size so i dont really want to go smaller if possible..
i have had my 35 bfg next to a 36 simex and its a noticable difference.

i still cant decide what tyres to get
just waiting on the cheque to arrive and il be getting them soon
