hi guys
why do you get smoke like this besides oil rings oh and i did over full the oil

and after it warmes up and i drained some oil out this is as much smoke as i get

I get shit loads of blue smoke till she warms up, also stinks the place out.
Maybe something to do woth the fuel i run, But once she is nice and hot theres no smoke at all
What sort of injector pump does the old 60 series use ?

Inline pump. Blue smoke means it's burning oil.

sweet, and it sure does burn oil. It drinks more oil than diesel
but doesnt drop on the dipstick between changes

Maybe valve stem seals, or the oil control ring. Once they've heated up the metals have expanded.

on cold start you will get white smoke, but this looks blue, so id say oil is being burnt... mine blows a hell of alot more smoke than this for the first 40 odd secs... but its white, which is just cold fuel
blue smoke, so oil.

ok this is where i stand at the moment.
on start up it is a bit smokey and at idle when cold
i went up the steet and the misses said it was somkey for about 10 sec come back and not one bit of somke

that should be fine then, its a diesel, they do smoke

You wanna hold the torch at 3 am when i start her up to go to work, The vid is on a tripod so you wont have to hold that.
