specific info needed

Now I know there are some mitsi gurus out there so I've got a real life question where I need a definite answer:

I've just bought a turbo and housing off a 2004 triton and want to fit it to a 99 triton. The way I see it is they both have basically the same engine so I will need an exhaust manifold and a dump pipe to fit it (plan on plumbing the turbo to the original intake manifold). Problem is I'd say an exhaust manifold from a 2004-2006 triton would be pretty rare in a wrecking yard. My question is, will the exhaust manifold from a 4M40T pajero fit my turbo- I have searched for info on the Delica 4M40T and found that the exhaust manifold won't suit a 99 triton as the head bolt patterns are different. Can anyone shed some light on this?

*also do I need to fit a mitsi intercooler or can I go without. If so, what vehicle intercooler will match up (apart from the triton obviously)?
** BTW- the turbo is the mitsi TF035

Thanks fellas,

Gee.

What engine is in the 99 triton ? if its a 4m40 non turbo then the exhaust manifold from a 4m40t motor should fit fine.
what engine was the 2004 triton? if it was 4m40, then all should be ok.
the 4m40 turbo in the pajero (upto and including NM) is a Garret T04 unit, so im guessing your 2004 triton may have had the 4d56 turbo motor(2.5 ltr).
you need to check your engine numbers and see what engine your turbo is off.
you dont need to fit a mitsi intercooler, but all the plumbing and bracketry has been done for you, if you do.

The turbo is a TF035 off a 2004 4m40T Mk triton- my vehicle is a 99 MK triton with the 4m40 non-turbo engine.

So the turbo on the triton is different to the pajero 4m40T TD04 turbo. How different are these two turbos? I read somewhere that they are virtually identical externally but the TD04 can maintain a higher psi. Will the dump pipe from a TD04 match the TF035?

Thanks
