Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ok. I have searched for so long its wearing me out.
I have a dead g13 carbie motor wanting more power from the suzuki.
I would like this post to be in the bible so keep chat to minimal pls.
Alot has been put up on the vitara 1.6 but not the swift 1.6.

GENERAL:
* The Swift 1.6 motor 16v. Wat needs to be done to run and drive?
* They are all Single point fuel injection, aka. Throttle Body Injection

NEEDED:
* Adaptor plates are needed - Gearbox/starter to mount to engine
* Clutch And Flywheel have to be changed - Because of gearbox spline
* Engine mounts have to be lowered or Bodylift - For Clearance issues on intake manifold
* Wiring harness needs to be built into the sierra. Wiring diagrams www.suzukiinfo.com
* Sump and oil pickup have to be swapped from the 1.3 - Because of diff hitting
* High Pressure fuel pump, lines,filter - For the efi
* Exhaust has to be changed - Because of the different head
* Dizzy Setup needs to be 90 degree - Because of firewall.
* Thermo fan is needed or swap the pulley of the 1.3. - Because of east/west engine config.
* Vitara cam has to be fitted - To drive the 90degree housing

PROBLEMS:
* I have heard the thermostat housing is a bit of a problem.

They are a TBI (throttle body injection) otherwise known as SPFI.

you will need to use a vitara cam to use the angle drive dizzy. the fan should swap over from your 1.3. i'm not keen on the switch in the dash idea because you are usually too busy bragging about the crossing to think to turn the switch back on. i think after pricing all the bits you need, it would be easier and cheaper to go the vitara to start with or ru thecarby head on the 1.6

the thing is i want efi. do alot of hills,rocks etc. getting sick of engine dying.

try cut4b it sounds like he has a spare vit injection setup to sell. use the whole lot on the 1.6 bottom end

i also work at a massive wreckers so parts is just a matter of the waiting game, i was quoted 1200 for a carb 1.6 and ok, no switch, because i would be probably 1 of the braggers.

What else has to be done?

Not meaning to drag this off topic but we have a Vitara G16 16V half cut coming in the next shipment. Can't make the conversion any easier than to start off with everything you need in the first place

And that will be multipoint efi not throttle body. Much better tuning.

i know the vitaras have everything but they are rare i guess. although i havent priced 1 up yet mpfi model.

mine is a baleno engine 1.6 16V mpfi, and its a coilpack engine (no distributor to worry about) .........something else to think about.

With spi (single point injection) you either have to use the standard air filter box , which is big and bulky , or fabricate a custom air hat for the top of the throttle body . If you make a custom air hat you then have to make provision for the air temperature sensor , which the 1.6 swift utilises in the stock air cleaner housing. The swift throttle body configuration is unique to that particular model so theres nothing that will bolt on that you can run a silicone hose with a pod on etc , for this reason it makes the vitara and baleno mpfi conversion a lot better , the throttle body is perfect for clamping a silicone hose/pipework and pod filter to it.

There was a 00 baleno with 98ks at the auctions yesterday in sydney that has been hit in the rear.

It went for $1300 for the WHOLE CAR!!!!!!!!
