Hi all,
At the moment im busy sorucing parts for a turbo/efi upgrade for the truck, and i have come to the turbo. I am getting a lot of differing opions on which one to go for;
any advice?
I have been looking at the Garrett GT28 discopotateo and the GT30 series but then others are saying a hi flow.
I am not really looking at making the truck into a fire breather, just more bang for the buck, i still want the thing to be useable on/off road and not be breaking things ever time i take her out.
I dont really know a great deal about turbos so all info is appreciated
Thanks
Kieran

Turbo options for an 4.2 EFI
Garrett GT3071R and 48mm Pro Gate
gt30 will give plenty of low down torque
disco potato will be way out of efficiency range on tb42....unless you run two.
or run twin GT25/GT28r's or something.....
all depends on when you want your power, and how much power you want i guess.
Work out your flow rates and have a look at the pressure maps for all the turbos' your interested in.
