I know, i know search whatever...

I need to replace the springs and shocks in Ally's Vit. Since ARB seem to be out of stock on Old Man Emu struts for a 95 swb Vitara i was wondering if there are any other reputable brands that provide a longer front strut than standard. I want a setup that will be fairly comfortable for daily driving but give a little lift.
Any ideas people?

comfort and lift? imho would only be OME suspension.

OME front struts are 40mm longer than factory stock struts and are an oil hydraulic type, and the rear shocks are 50mm longer (part number N32) than stock designed to suit the OME springs.

you will find a much better ride on and off road, and the struts/shocks won't fade as much on corrugated roads. we have lots of corrugations up here.

i have a full OME suspension under my 95 SWB soft top, and it rides so much better on and off the road. i have no complaints.

other kits may come with strut extensions, but be wary of poor quality ones. very dangerous.

here is my vit.

i just need more lift and bogger tyres now.

Dobinson do a strut that is the same specs as ARB (I believe) ie 40mm longer. They are a little cheaper too.

How they ride compared to the ARB ones I don't know.

Mate, just order the ARB stuff. They might make the struts to order or something. I got a set of OME suspension from ARB a couple of months ago. The struts took about two weeks to get in, but I did the rear in the mean time.

i think i will.

would have been nice to have safer suspension for a Sydney trip in a couple of weeks that's all.
