So he wants to put the 5L into the 40, using the box, t-case and diffs out of the 60?

Axles could be easy ( furtheremore 60 axles are more wider by 4" or so ) and the t-case depend ...
But I thought if you have all together could be easy as well ..

you will need to change where the gearbox bolts to the chassie. mine came forward about 3 inchs - needing crush tube and new plated mounts.
You may also need to cut the trans tunnel to fit the sticks, but not a great deal.
The diffs will need the perchs changing (need to come in), but there are heaps of links on here regarding that.
if its a fuel injected 5l, its going to need to be wired in, and your also going to need an adapter kit to fit it to the landcruser gearbox.......
if you use the powersteering box, your going to need to change and paly around with the tie rods, links etc etc.....
Mounting the hand brake acuator in the 40 is pretty easy, just need to drill/cut/die grind a big hole in the trans tunnel and then bolt it in....
Speedo cable is the same, so that will bolt/plug straight in
stuff like that
its not toooo hard, just time consuming and frustrating
