Springs for 2" lift on 4dr Rangie

G'day all,
Looking at lifting my 4dr RR asap (pics soon) I have afew sets of springs for RR's sitting around here at home.
now ppl talk about fitting rear RR springs to the front for 2" lift, is this correct? and is it a light or heavy duty springs? I have some long light duty springs here i was going to try.
Also do I need to extend my brake pipe flexy hose's? I'm not changing shocks straight away (I will once I'm happy with the springs I choose).
And for the rears what should I use/buy? I have a set of Disco 300tdi 2" lift front springs, would they work? not not high enough? i have an LPG tank mounted across the back seat so it's balanced.

1) Determine how much weight is current on the springs by measuring the compressed length and calculating based on the type of spring.
2) Once you have the weights, you can figure out how much lift any given spring will get you. If you have a load leveler, it is more complicated.

Stock RR IE: no rear step bump or rear spare carrier.
Rear springs: 220x17
Fit rears to front.
Loose the load leveler will be of no use after spring lift.
this will give aprox 50mm lift, provided the rears are not totaly colapsed.

what if I fit the disco 300tdi 2" lift front springs (they are brand new OME spring) to the front of my RR and get new rear springs.
My RR has gas, rear Step (I guess ARB) and I plan on fitting the rear tyre to the rear on a swing away carrier. Also I will be carrying a Fridge and other equipment.
I am planning on towing my project 90 around. It still has the self leveler unit.
Maybe i should fit poly airbags? I know they restrict travel, but how badly??

I have medium duty rear OME 764 springs at the front of my Rangie 240/lb by about 17 inches and they are supporting a steel bull bar/8274/dual batteries/steel steering guard and they still give about 3" of lift. There is no way I would go to a heavier spring than that.
The airbags won't limit your travel when they are aired down to nothing... They just squash up in there.....

Which model OME springs???
In any case, no point in buying OME in Australia. Rangie Spares springs are cheaper, have better available rates and lengths and Andrew will give real model specific advise on choice.
Again, if you are looking at using used genuine springs, then it is best to measure and calculate first.
If you measure the current compressed length and let me know what springs are in there, I can help you figure out a good choice. Everything depends on the weight of YOUR vehicle, the handling that YOU want and the lift that YOU want. Be careful listening to what someone else did as they may not be set up like you and/or have your same goals.

Talk to Procomp in Narre Warren Victoria, I just put a set of there springs
on and they are great.
I had Rangie Spares springs on it before I put these on and I found them to be terrible.

751's = 230lbs/14.5"/15.3" [They are sided]
Heavy Duty (110 lbs. To 242 lbs. extra up front)
Gives 1.4" lift - by the book - which means almost nothing...
They will be like rock if you don't have some extra weight up front though...

I run my old Pedders rears up front and Kings up the arse end.
I needed a harder spring in the rear to copmpensate for no load leveller (ex-air suspension Rangie mine is). Off-road it works well ansd gets good flex with the Rancho RS9000's.

Pedders rear raised springs in the front?
how heavy duty is the rear springs you have? as I have abit of weight in the rear and want to tow a car trailor
