Hey all
have been having a brain wave...
thinking it may be possible to fit a planetry out of a auto in to the counter shaft of a zook transfer...

This giving good gearing with min cost....

BUT
has any one done it?? or even put thought in to it???

i am slightly worried about the strength of the planiterys...
any ideas??

thats interesting.....
i was looking more in to a unit that fits IN the transfer....
and will only run on the low rage gear.. so making it a permanent drive thing....
they are 2.0/1 drive... so it would double the crawl ratio...

its just gon be a bit of mashening work... and i am concerned about strength...

You should be, especially if you're just going to mash it together !!

i am not rely gona "mash" it together...

in my idea it could fit on the counter shaft (the shaft with the conjoint 2 gears that separate high and low range)

By adding it in there it will half my gearing in low....

Fairly simple i think...

i built one that fits inside a cruiser transfer . i first one failed in 3 months , it was a set up out off a c4 tranny ,3 gear planetry . a bit over 3-1 ratio . the second one we done is a 4 gear set up sims to be workin well so far . is a 3-1 ratio , biger gears and drum so it should be stronger .
