Rims for 2004 HZJ79

Hi Guys,
I have this HZJ79 in Canada, the only options for me as far as rims go are the stock toyota 16 X 6 or 16x6.6. This is the 5 bolt (5x150) pattern and there are no aftermarket rims anywhere in North America.
Will the 5 bolt 100 series (lexus 470) rims fit my cruiser? Is the backspacing the same?
Does anyone know the backspacing for the 100 series and the 79 series?
I want a wider rim - 8 inch so I can put some bigger tires on - 36 or 37's.
Thanks very much.
Louis

Hi Louis,
The 100 also shares the same 5 on 150mm PCD stud pattern, however the offset is wrong for the HZJ79 at 40 or 60mm depending on rim size.
Ideally you need the 16x8" zero offset rims off our 105 series (live axle 100 series) but they will be very hard for you to find (they are getting harder to get here in Au.).
Surely someone in the US could alter the offset on a set of the steel Tundra rims for you?

Hi Greg,
I can get tundra steelies - but they only come in 18 inch (maybe some 17's) so that makes the price of the tires double what they would be for a 16 inch.
By altering - do you mean cut out the centre and reweld?

or you could get custom wheels made up with custom centres welded in pretty easily.
There is lots of aftermarket alloy options out here too.
