Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi i currently do work placment at a local tyre and mechanical shop spinning spanners, and i always look in the tyre room just to drool, when i noticed these pretty chunky looking muddies, and they say GT Radial Adventuro M/T. So i ask how much they are for a 31x10.5, and he looked it up and there about $170 a corner. Which i think is pretty reasonable for such a chunky looking tyre.

go the federal couragia MT...even chunker and about 150-160 a corner in melbs.

ive been looking at the adventuros for a while, ive seen them in a 33 and they look very aggressive with a deep tread, not sure how they would fair around town on a heavy vehicle but on a zook i think they'd be fine!!

if the price is right i might look at getting a set of either in a 32 for my zook after i fit the 6.5:1 gears

as said before, anyone run the gt radials? reading on another forum a bloke runs them on his leaf sprung hilux says they are great!

I'm running them. Adventuros in a 31 on a Sierra.

I've found them quiet around town, and they handle reasonably well too, not as bad as some others in the wet. They've probably surprised me a bit in that regard. Have put probably 5000km on them.

They're a pretty soft compound I think which explains good streetability. I've found they cut up in the rock pretty badly, but at the same time I guess it's pretty sharp and hard on tyres around here. I will have ripped lugs off and cut them up long before I actually wear down the tread at this rate I think.

Happy with them in mud, but I don't drive much of it, and have little to compare them with.

Would I buy them again? Probably not. I'd probably want to try something else to see if I could get a bit more life out of them before they cut up. That said, on road and on easy trails and a bit of mud, good tyre.
