sd33..spin on oil filter...
takes too long to build oil pressure on first start up..its due to one way valve in filter being more 2 way and allowing filter to drain back overnight..
different filters are better or worse..but i can not find a decent one anymore...any mods?
or what good filters do you use??

From my experience N/A = element and TD = spin on.

is it possible to replace the spin on with and element type? or would the mods be to exesive? altho messier to change, i think element type filters are much better.

blue filter at moment...tried...just about all makes..fram was the worst..microset? the best (black) at 2 secs from start up at idle..but i cant find any..

blue print are bad too..
cant go element type(even though i have one) as i have external air/oil type oil cooler tapped in with adapter between filter and bit it spins onto...(before you suggest it ,it makes no difference if adapter there or not..)
i need to address this asap, so any input considered..

Hey all
Well when ever the changover was in 84 i think, the SD33's and SD33T's went to spin on filters. Anything before was a cartrige type. Try ryco (Z149), fleetguard or baldwin. Ive used all and havnt had any troubles. have converted many SD33's to spin on type filters..
hope this helps
