Superior Eng Mod Truck Challenge - Rover Park - 24-25 Nov

Post by beebee »

Sponsor: Superior Engineering www.superiorengineering.com.au

Venue: Rover Park, Tenterfield www.roverpark.com.au

Date: 24-25 November 2007

Event Style:
Rockcrawling for full bodied rigs

Vehicle Specs:
35"min - 40"max tyres
F&R lockers
OEM chassis from centerline of Front diff to centerline of Rear diff - dimensionally unchanged.
Full bonnet, firewall and floorpan width (ute sizing as minimum) minor alterations accecptable. guards preferred.minimum of half doors and windor nets.
Full rollcage as per most comps - and all the usual safety stuff (extinguisher, kill switch etc).
Winch and sufficient recovery equipment - self recovery!!!
No portal or drop-reduction differentials.
No rear steer.
No rego required.
PM 1madengineer if you want to clarify these rules any further

Scoring System:
As per XRCC rules but without the "point out" system. Instead, we'll use a 8-15min time limit (depending on course)
No stopping penalties.
Cone penalties.
Reverse penalties.
Out of course penalties.
Fluid loss and safety penalties.
No rock stacking penalties.
That's all I can remember at the moment....

Entry Fee:
Rover Park entry fee only! Superior Engineering have chipped in to cover to costs of the trophies and consumables.

NB This event is a fill in event due to the last round of XRCC being cancelled. We are catering for the "Modified" XRCC class with a few additions. At this stage, we are only planning a one off event unless the demand is such that we develop the format into a series.

By "mesh" do we mean welded steel mesh ie weldmesh or are we talking some sort of nylon mesh?

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here. If what you've got looks to be safe enough, then who am I to criticise?

Thanks to Superior Engineering for putting up the $$ to sponsor the event. Their contribution will keep the costs down to park entry fees only and also go toward the cost of trophies.

Thanks again Superior Engineering ;) www.superiorengineering.com.au

I will come down to help marshall Beebee.
Sean called me today & unfortunately I can't get the BJ ready in time to compete (moving into new house the week leading up). I will probably have a drive of Firetruck to get my fix

Ummm....just realised a minor problem. Sat 24/11 is the day of the national election. I could change the comp date to December but I know some people already have time off work. But is it going to be just too hard for everone to organise their absentee/postal votes? Not sure what to do

Dates should'nt be a problem for most just do a postal vote, its easier than going to do a normal vote, least you dont have to wait in line.
Mick from Superior Engineering is coming in his GQ as well as myself in the Suzi.
Should be awesome fun
