Are calliper from a V6 surf the same as my hilux LN106 2.8D lux?

I have changed to a 1" bore surf matser cylinder and booster and did not get much of a change, was thinkin maybe i might need the callipers too?

Any help/ info would be great...

Thanks brad

i didn't get that much of a change, but my factory 1's are bigger than the early model callipers and i thought maybe my callipers were the same as the surf ones.

Is it worth getting the surf callipers to run with the 1" bore MC?

AFAIK
LN106: 4x 35mm pistons
V6 'runner: 4x 45mm pistons

80 series also ran a 1" master with 45mm calipers

Yes the V6 4Runner and most Surfs have larger piston calipers than a normal Oz Hilux and they use a 1" master.

But they also use a thicker rotor. Hilux has a 18mm rotor whereas these use a 25mm rotor so besides the calipers you will need to fit some 25mm rotors to use these calipers and combined with a V6 or Surf 1" master you brakes will be a tad better.

I`m sure the third gen have the thicker rotors

Do you think they would fit a solid axle? Most of them are independant front arn't they... unless i'm mistaken.

Cobber they fit straight on...i ran a set on a 60 series...yeah the discs are a little thin for them, but for the extra stopping, its worth dropping a set on...you will be 50% better stopping...oh and you need 75 series (1990 on) pads too....
