Its aftermarket and will make the car selfdestruct in 20secs or was that 10. I can never remember.

Common for driving lights. Looks like pull on push off type switch. Not a fan of switches down there though. Can be a bit close to knee's.

does your GQ have LPG? If it does it is to do with the gas setup. i had it on mine and from memory something to do with the carby and the gas mixer or something. Can't remember been a while. When pulled out driving on the hwy it improves performance and when idling around town it should be in. Again I'm not 100% can't quite remember

its a factory switch for the parrachute  dont you people know anything  geez ;)

follow it out the other side of the fuse box it must go some where
and if when its on it makes the engine run rough i'd say you have a big earth problem watch it dosen't melt or worse catch fire

I think it is like a turbo except the power comes in from the start but if you leave it on it will reduce your power. You need to learn how and when to use it. They only put it on early model vehicles before turbos became popular.

mine has the pull leaver simalr to this that goes to the gas mixer to open and close it to allow different air flow for the different fuel.

If it goes to the fues box this is not that unless the newer ones did it eletrically.

The switch is located in what may be the left hand drive hand throttle position. Have been told the dash template is the same for both left and right hand drive vehicles with the hand throttle hole being plugged for the side not in use. I'm guessing its an after market switch making use of a convenient hole.
You'll have to trace the wires through.

I like ya thinking. But that part of the dash is complete and runs the full width of the car. So I would have expect there to be a different stamping machine. For the main part of lhd and rhd dash's.
Well atleast I am pretty sure it was, when I pulled my dash out a couple of weeks ago.
