Hey fellas, does anyone know if it's possible to fit 6x9 speakers in the rear passenger doors? I think they will fit but wanted to check before cutting the inner door.
Thanks

u can do anything there
i have had them in the barn doors no dramas, the rear passenger doors might need a spacer though, unless you get shallow magnet ones!

In the barn doors theres heaps of room to play with.
On the side doors. Theres bugger all room to play with. Unless you can find a shallow speaker. As most speakers hit the windows when there wound down.

all depends what speakers you get , i had 220w sonys without spacers in the doors , changed them for 280w MTX splits and needed spacers . rear barn doors needed spacers when the 400w 6 x 9's went in aswell . not sure on the middle doors on LWB how deep they are . will find out out when the 3rd amp finds a home outta sight from light fingered eyes
under rear seats are awesome spot for amps etc. i have the 4 channel under the passanger rear seat and the mono amp under the drivers side rear . perfect fit without being seen
best bet is to pull a speaker out , wind the windom down and stick a ruler in for a rough measurement , most speakers have the depth on the boxes

most will fit
BUTgrab some 6X9 speaker boxes and screw them to your pillar up high so when you fill the wagon with shit for camping etc. you can still hear them and that way they want have things smashing in to them either from things floating in back.
plus they sound better in a sealed box i have kenwood 7-10 like this and its sounds good.

just grab a pair of left/right hand snips and snip away in the road metal and use speaker packers if needed.
rear barn doors are pretty common spot for 6/9's!
iv got jbl gear fitted through out with on dramas, just make sure everything is screwed in well otherwise you may get rattles or vibrations..that darn number plate, had to put a piece of rubber between it and the door..!

i have a pair of 6x9 in my rear doors. they were fitted by the previous owner. Seem to fit ok. Some metel was cut from the door frame to make them fit. I have never used them as I have mounted my speakers in a custom shelf up top.
Speaks should not be negative earthed either as this can cause some interferance. in other words do not mount them directly to the body or earth them via the mounting screw.
