I need new ones.

Has anybody got 4 point harnesses fitted and how hard are they to fit (are they legal?) It has no rear seats as well.

Has anyone fitted the retractor belts from a WT onto a NT, mine is hightop drover with a welded plate where the WT have the retrator bit usually fitted.

Thanks

Nic

From experience, unless your drag racing etc, a 4 or 5 point harness are nothing but pain in the butt thing for everyday driving (would be even worse for 4x4ing as your head is restricted from moving in most directions, hence your visibility is going to suffer) and definately not worth the hassle.
Any aftermarket car joint (like repco, pep parts, auto one etc) sell replacement seat belts, easy to fit, generally all made to appropriate standards etc. As far as the retactible part goes, simple swap over (as long as you keep the spool sitting horizontal, with the mounting face verticle, otherwise the retractible lock is a mongrel).

Cheers,

I prefer a narrow track manual adjustment lap and sash belt. I find that with a retractable one, sometimes it jams up and you can't unwind it. It happens at the worst times. Or is that just me? :? Still it should not be difficult to fit one. I'd stay away from a harness for a daily driver, just because of the inconvenience. There's nothing wrong with the lap and sash arrangement. I've been upside down before and it held me in place just fine. :)

yeah, the harnesses are great but a pain in the a$$ on daily drivers. I prefer the non adjusting belts as they don't pull tight on you on rough roads. I usually don't wear my belt when playing anyway.....shhhh :D would like a retractable one on LH side as I always have to adjust it for everyone.
