There is a roller bearing near where the shifter goes in, in a coupling its about 10mm dia. x 10mm long. Is this it?
If not what size is it? part number?
I need to buy this bearing TODAY!!!
Thanks for the help guys,

I need to find the flange nuts to hold the flanges on. Suzuki genuine want $23 per nut, failing that I can only find nyloc's... Will nylocs work? Im worried about the torque unwinding one if they aren't crimped into the keyway on the shaft...

at a guess mate i think it is, from memory there is only 3 roller bearings(needle looking ones) 2 go around the shaft and one is a tiny one.

the extra needle roller bearing is for the output front shaft.

That's it. Retains the front output shaft into the gearset. Its apparently a bitch to remove and replace without screwing it up.

Steve.

yup 10mm x 12mm...

the easiest way i used to remove them is a small cold chisel and break the outer bearing cage. take your time and do not hit the shaft. also to get the gears off from the same side watch the circlip that goes around the shaft. the splines are so small and short (where the circlip groove is cut through them) they snap off.

cheers mark

Nyloc's should be OK if you use Loctite as well.

I'd use Loctite 268 (stick). Semi permanent threadlocker.

You could use nyloc and lightly crimp them the same, they will be almost impossible to remove again unless you melt the nylon stuff, then it simply unscrews, works great. Unforutnately, this also works when youre spanner slips, slightly crimping the nylon part of the nut, and its impossible to remove, and you heave on it so much it breaks the stud instead!
