2L engine mount

i just replaced a rooted engine mount rubber and put in place a 2L-TE powersteer pump bracket/engine mount. the engine mount wont go back down to where is should to attach to the chassis. just wont go down. at all without force and i dont want to stress the allready shitty engine mount rubbers.

is there a few different brackets? there cant be different mount rubbers can there?

What brand of mount is it i put some kelpro ones on mates lux and was a real bitch to get the holes to line up yet on another went on fine if it's just a bit out i'm sure you have a rat tail file laying around

repdo mounts, they are like 10mm off. dunno why its happened.

Can't loosen off the bolts fot the bracket to bloch and hold as far as possible in the direction wanted then do them up might get 5mm out of it then only have to file a bit sometimes aftermarket parts suck arse do a fair bit at work and it can turn a quick job into a pita.

its the ps bracket ...... don't ley any onr tell you different.....

I had the same problem...

I found a 3l alt. bracket at the wreckers that did the trick.....

if you compare the ps bracket against the old mount, the angle will be diiferent.

I just fitted a 3L into a surf the new mounts would not line up either I found that the holes in the base plate were about 3mm out just enough to not let the lower bolts through I had to take them out and file the holes.
It seems all the aftermarket mounts are the same.
