anyone running injected 5.0 in gq?

Post by AC »

I am currently getting very poor fuel economy with a return of around 30l per 100 just normal driving.

I have a vp v8/t700 install and was just after things to try to get better economy.

injectors have been checked and are fine, i has a chip and will be getting a 218 crane cam installed to increase the torque curve.

If anyone has had one and gets good fuel economy i would love to hear

thanks AC

For those wanting to know more about the tracks at Toolangi I will endeavour to catch up with my mate who grades the tracks and find out what is happening. There has been some discussion about the sugarloaf pipeline as well whch will go statingth down the glenburb track. i have seen some of the drawings and it appears to go closer to the hwy, but I would expect that the earthworks will use the track as well.

Have u got a check light rigged up?

Could be things like the O2 sensors have crapped themselves? They usually throw the consumption threw the roof.

Get your Air Fuel ratios checked see if its running rich..

Provided the o2 sensor is Ok it will be the tune, I've found most off the shelf chips to be average at best. I do all my tuning real time, that allows me ot get the fuel trims correct and to decide where to put it into closed loop and most importantly what timing I can run with the fuel being used.
You should be closer to 20l per 100 if driving sensibly.
