as the title says how do i fix this

you mean properly to stop it rusting or just to make it look nice again till it rusts some more

nope but every time i put it on my daughter brings down the house and says HI5 and wont stop till you put HI5 on

On topic, clean out all the broken sealant, go to a panel beater and ask them what sealer they use, go buy some, then apply between panels, then hammer back into shape using a piece of hardwood under the bent gutter, then apply more sealant into the rain channel. Paint it if you want it to look pretty.

Chop it into a dual or extra cab ute

I've got one that looks very similar in the same spot. Just warming up the grinder

I've folded in about a meter of my troopies gutter. I managed to fold it back into shape a little - it's really hard! The harder i try the more it seems to separate from the side panels.

yep thats the same

Straighten it out with a block of timber to soften the hammering.

Dig all the all lose sealant out....

Go buy seam sealer from super cheap or paint shop......It is the proper stuff to use and designed for that application

Once dry paint over it.....job done....

I use a product called Drip-Chek, it's a pretty good seam sealer that is used from factory by a lot of manufacturers. I don't know where to get it as i have a production line worker who "obtains" it for me.

Thats the stuff, I couldnt think of the name. Its a 3M product. A good paint shop that handles automotive paint should have it, Im not talking about SuperCheap here. Its grey, comes in a tube, but pretty expensive, I think I paid about 15 bucks for a 300ish gram tube.

I've used the motospray seam sealer a number of times and never had any issues with it......

Not cheap though as it comes in a one litre tin. But it's a great thing to have around when you are modding a 4by........

I bought it from an auto paint supplier but I do believe that Super cheap used to stock Moto Spray products.

you can also buy seam sealer in a silicon type cartridge, its cheap if your not likely to use it again for a long time.

use pilers to pull the metal up a little bit first then use hammer with wood or dolly.

By the looks of things it'd probably be better to seal after your bent the metal back.

Just use a nozzle from glue gun or something, then run a bit of dowel down the channel to get rid of the excess sealer.
