If its a lux one don't bother if you use it in the rear, but up front and only used off road they do go better

There are certain addatives which can dramatically improve the performance of an lsd, and over time makes the lsd a whole lot more efficient as I have found. The lux has done 359,000 kms and the lsd has never worked better if you can believe that, although it has had slick in it for the last 200,000 kms.

the mechanic at my old work said for toyota lsd's the diff is designed more as a load sensing diff than a limited slip. This is what he was told by toyota technicians when he attended a super expensive toyota school. Not quite sure what it means but he swears by em in the front of hilux's when setup correctly.
