wagon hardtop to softtop conversion ....anyone do them?

just seeing if i can mod my jack to be a soft top 
the comfort and size of the jackaroo, with a removable soft top...*drool*
anyone know what the legalites and whatnot are for this?
-soft flap doors, etc...
