HI guys,

I have taken the inlet manifold off chasing my misfire and putting it back together I have no idea what pipe goes on here

Image

It is at the back of the inlet maniford on the drivers side, and can be seen without taking the black cover off.

Just wondering where my missing pipe goes.... It is not mentioned in the haynes manual.

Help!

Cheers, NJ

Hey NJ, on the other side of the block .(almost opposite in area), there looks like a vacuum diaphragm thingy, goes there! Heres a pic, the top ones in the photo are the heater pipes

Hope this helps

OK, I know this is a silly question, but I've gotta ask:

Looking at the red ring you drew, at about 8 o'clock it touches a black hose which looks like a vacuum hose - is that attached to anything?

Yea mate,

It goes to the inlet manifold as well and you can just make it out right below the right hand side of my 'sort of' circle!

I hunted high and low for a pipe - that curliey one is for the 4WD.

Overkill is onto it cheers and it makes sense, I'll pop out shortly for a look.

Cheers Scott & Killer :onfire:

Mine also has a vacuum pipe that goes into the firewall (someone has put it in aftermarket) for a vacuum guage. It is T'd off about an inch and a half from where your missing pipe is to be attached. It must do something then

Yes with it running it sucks air! :D

But to me it looks (from your picture) like it runs to the fuel pressure regulator to up the pressure under higher vacuum. And that explains why it ran like a bag of shit when it warmed up last time and smoked (rich black boyracer type  ) - I had the fuel rail out, exact symptoyms. Finding out more and more by the day!
