Outer Limits 4x4 Board

lookin into Davies Craig oil coolers for my conversion, and their site lists 2 styles.. Anyone know which would be better over the other?
Anyone on board have access to or sell these things?

Use the PWR ones Bruce. http://pwr.com.au/oil_transmission_plate.html
Get the biggest ones you can fit and if possible fit 2 of them in series and put one behind the the Air Con auxiliary fan and wire it up so you can turn the fan on manually while 4x4ing.
Don't bother about getting the auto radiator with the cooler in the radiator it's a waste of time.
The kit number for the large cooler with 5/16" barbs is PWO5631 and that's a cooler 280mm X 255mm X 19mm thick.

This is the largest PWR tranny cooler, I have it fitted as a power steering cooler. The room left on the other side is for a 2nd one which will be a auto cooler once I go auto.

just got a pwr trans cooler.havnt fitted yet .got mine from repco and cost $120.its not the largest but the next size down.

That cant be your car Dave, its WHITE and CLEAN ... AND has a front drive shaft in it


John.. The hose u used between the 2 coolers, what is it, and did you join it to the stock GQ AUto pipelines ... if so how?

Some of the pipes came with the coolers. The extra that I needed I bought from Bursons on F'stn Dandy Rd. It's transmission piping and is designed to take the heat and pressure.
The pipe that Supercheap have is too soft for my liking.

I have repositioned the coolers with the outlets facing down, therefore reducing the amount of pipe and have used double clamps on every conection. From there they join the metal piping under the engine that comes from the transmission.
