I just fabbed up some for the 79 series, here is the install in my truck. It definatly makes a difference. If you have the disposible income for a water/air intercooler then that's the way to go.
http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=165863&page=5 Scroll down for a pic of my intercooler - the piping is 2 inch in and 2.5 inch out. I am having more piping made - the stuff pictured is the prototype - cleaner welds are on the new pipe - pics coming soon.

Louis

I had a front mount on my 75 series.
I had a two inch body lift and I had it where the panel is that has 3 holes in it below the grille.
I ran the piping in between the inner and outer guard (there is a air gap there) Passenger side down to front mount, then back up drivers side and into engine.
EASY, heaps of room, looks great...
You can add sprayers along your bumper to get temps lower than ambient.. I had no spotlights on the front.

Your old 75 is an animal, the funniest thing is watching the little asian trying to climb into it....oh and trying to dodge the fist size rocks it kicks up while im riding behind him out at woodford.

I cut one down off a Cabover Freightliner
maybe a Cummins N14. I used about a third of it, custom tanks to the same shape as the panel it was replacing plus the 2", and instead of that kind of flat piece i just went diagonal from the coner.
I cut through the fins and whacked a small piece of aluminium angle along the bottom.

Cooma Diesel in Canberra make an air to air unit along with a modified or replacement grille (pushed forward). Maybe worth a call.
