Yeah I did mine off my 3y motor. Had to make up custom fittings to screw onto the compressor. I think they are a UNF thread. Just had clear plastic tube with a good filter on the end for suction side. Must be easy to take the filter off to put oil down the line now and then. For the pressure side you will need to use high pressure line with a non-return valve between the pump and tank as the air will bleed back through the pump. Buy a pressure cut off switch (I used a ARB compressor one) and wire inline with air conn switch. This will cut off at 100 PSI and cut back in at 70 PSI.

If ya live in Brissy I could make up the fittings if you supplied me the pump.

You will have problems with compressor lubrication with the newer generation of A/C compressors. You need a old school York type compressor that has a sump and therefore provides constant lubrication to the compressor.
Otherwise you will have to figure out a way to provide some sort of lubrication to the suction side of the comp otherwise it aint gonna run long without any oil goin through it. Than the downside of running oil through it like that is that you are gonna get oil goin out the outlet also and into whatever you are gonna be filling, ect.

i used a self draw throught mini oiler like used on air tools, on my 75 's compressor, tapped suction side into after the air filter through the oiler then into the compressor. worked a treat.

Good idea

What size air tank do you guys use and what sort of flow do you get out of the compressure i mean how long to fill how many litres. I ask because i would like to be able to use some of my air tools on the track

With a 15L tank you should be able to run a rattle gun.

I had a endless air, just a aircon pump with a greese nipple tapped into one of the inspection bungs. pulled the exact same pump out of a older commodore.but the endless air cost me $400. not sure on what greese they put in them though.

thanks for the feedback guys. i have an 87 lux, so im assuming this older model should be ok for constant lubrication?? Willy Hilux, unfort i live in victoria, willing to post it up to you with a return postage if your keen for something to do, lol. Im quite a novice at this so excuse my ingorance. do i need an air tank was well. The way i was looking at it, was i connect an air hose onto the valve on the compressor, then the belt (like the fan belt but for the aircon) will turn the compressor, the a/c switch in the cab will activate the air.

am i on the right track??

Withthe comment on oil will return into what im pumping up, how is there no oil getting into the original air lines??

thanks guys.

On the right track. When you put oil down the intake it will lub the pump then go into the air tank then into whatever your pumping up. You can put a oil trap to catch the oil before it gets to the tank though.
Pm me if ya get stuck. Can organize a tank if needed and a non return valve. Maybe an oil trap aswel.
