Would have thought you would need more lift for 35's?

All depends on why you are going bigger, what driving you do, petrol or diesel, future plans for it?

I have a lwb GQ wagon, 4" coils, 2" body and my 33's touch on th rear at full compression.
I know guys with similar setups that don't touch with 35's, go figure.
I'll be fittin 35's soon but not before the 4.6 diff gears are done.....

2" lift alone wont clear 33's let alone 35's only on gu's will a 2" lift be sufficient! you need a 4" lift ( of any makeup ie. spring and body) to clear 33's or 5+ to clear 35's

I've got a 4 inch lift and I clear 37s. 35s can be made to fit with a 2 inch lift, you've just got to know how.

Fronts fit easy, you just have to space your radius arms forward 12 - 15mm. The rear is the harder one, you will need to take some of the guard out for any larger tyre so you might as well take enough for a 35. If you have done a quarter chop then you just have to take another inch out of the back of the wheel arch and then put a 50 - 60mm bump stop extension in. You will want to replace your lower control arms before they break and destroy lots of expensive bits, so get some that are 10mm longer than standard while you are at it. The longer arms will also solve your driveshaft noises too.

I would put them on first and see for yourself where they touch, then deal with it. I haven't seen any two Patrols the same really when it comes to this, so best to try them on and then modify if you need to.

I had 35" muddies on my LWB Patrol, 2" spring lift and 2" body lift and I had to modify the front mud flap so it wouldn't get ripped off, and it scrubbed a little bit in the rear, I didn't change anything other than the mudflaps for a long time.

Are you not getting tired of posting that link bogged?
Seeing that from you all the time is as annoying as noobs asking the same questions all the time and not using the search function!

I had 33's under a 2" Sus lift only, put 2" body in and cleared 35's without any guard chops or scrubbing, even have video of the setup in action, was the best setup i ever had, if i wanted to setup a GQ again it would be 3" sus and 2" body wih 35's

then how else do you suggest to people to stop asking the same questions 23904820349823098 times a day? Come up with a better option...
and while at it, why did people bother creating the bibles? Nobody uses them. they have links to everything in them.

actually they have fuk all in them about suspension for GQs..... even less on shock choices etc. and most people cant use the search function because it is tricky for noobs.

My suggestion.

Which ever way you end up going make sure that it is Insurance ( check your policy ) and RWC ( check with a LMVT) compliant ????
